Announcing Midwestern scoot featuring: OUTERSPACE John Elliot (Emeralds/Mist/Imaginary Softwoods) explores the empty musical space created by the eternal pulse of the internal machine clock of analogue synthesizers. Elliot obviously has an innate sense for synthesizers and synthesizing sound.  Witness last years excellent zone on Digitalis. New lp coming this summer on Blast First (UK).

BAD RUBYCON SEQUENT by spectrumspools

Drainolith is Montrealer Alex Moskos’s (AIDS Wolf/Thames) one-man band. Moskos plays synth, sings, rattles out electronic polyrhythms with foot-triggered drums and on occasion plays guitar in a damaged later-Fahey ice-blues mode. The Organ Zone cassette self released in 2009 was a sleeper hit among sleepers and zonas everywhere.

Highlux (Radio Edit) by Richelieu Agency

Moth Cock are a mysterious duo from Kent, Ohio, not the first place you’d think to look for a J.W. Jeter novel come to life in mid-definition auditory huzz, but there it is…Moth Cock’s is a transcendent, musical, non-language. It’s simultaneously beautiful and weird, androgenic and cybernetic.

Also make sure to grip the limited tour only copy of the new Medicine Rocks cassette, a collaboration between Elliot and Moskos sounds not unlike a weird cross between a Mike Post score and a Last Exit rehearsal with Brotz straight passed out on the couch. Somewhere deeply in between. Recorded on Thanksgiving 2010.
